Start with the diagnostic terms
Ask the actual provider the visit charge, what it includes and what happens if more testing is needed. A fee credit, if offered, is a condition to confirm in writing. Prime does not promise a free diagnostic visit.
Compare the same work boundary
A part price is not the total repair price. Include labor, access, lifting, disconnection, reconnection, parts investigation and any additional visit. Ask how changes to the agreed scope will be approved.
Repair and replacement
Consider the actual finding, appliance condition, supported parts and a compatible installed replacement. Include removal, delivery and installation changes. There is no universal age cutoff or percentage that decides every repair.
